Laser Point Solutions, No 38/3, 1st Cross, Marappa Thota, JC Nagar, Bengaluru 560006, Karnataka, India (“we”, “us”, “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy is our notice under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). It explains what personal data we collect through this website and through enquiries, quotes and orders, why we use it, who we share it with, and your rights. It applies to laserpointsolutions.com and to our communication with you on WhatsApp, phone and email.
1. Personal data we collect
- Enquiry and order details: name, company name, designation, phone number, email address, WhatsApp number, product requirements, quantities, delivery location and any messages you send us.
- Artwork and branding files: logos, designs and other files you share so we can prepare samples, quotes and production proofs. These may contain personal data, such as names of your staff.
- Technical data: when you visit the website, our hosting and content delivery providers keep standard server records, which can include your IP address, browser type, device and pages requested. We use this only to run and secure the website.
We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not set cookies of our own. Google Maps, which is embedded on our About page, may set cookies under Google’s own policies.
2. Why we use your personal data and on what basis
- With your consent: when you contact us or send us details for a quote, you give consent to our use of those details to respond. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 9). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already done, and it may mean we can no longer provide the service you asked for.
- For legitimate uses permitted by the DPDP Act: to fulfil a request you have made or an order you have placed, to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (for example GST and invoicing records), and to protect the security of the website.
We use personal data for: responding to enquiries; preparing quotes, samples and production proofs; confirming and delivering orders; invoicing; and communicating with you about your order by phone, email and WhatsApp. If we ever want to send you promotional messages, we will do so only with your separate consent, and you can opt out at any time. We do not sell personal data.
3. WhatsApp, phone and email
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) under its own terms and privacy policy. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chats.
4. Service providers and third parties
We use the following service providers. They process personal data only on our instructions and under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Hosting, content delivery and security: providers that host and deliver this website, which keep the technical records described in section 1.
- Google: Google Maps (to show our location) and Google Fonts (to display the website’s typography). Google Fonts requests may send your IP address to Google.
- WhatsApp (Meta): for enquiries when you click a WhatsApp link or send us a message.
- Image hosting: our product and category photographs may be loaded from Unsplash, a third-party image service. Loading them sends your IP address to that service.
These providers have their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle the data they receive directly.
5. Sharing and transfers outside India
We share personal data only where needed to deliver your order or run our business, for example with printing, production, packaging and courier partners, or where required by law, a court or a government authority. Some of the providers listed above process data outside India, including in the United States. Such transfers are made only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any rules or restrictions issued under it.
6. Retention
We keep enquiry and order records for as long as needed for the purpose for which they were collected, and for longer where Indian tax, accounting or other laws require it. When that period ends, we erase or anonymise the data. Artwork files are kept for the duration of the order and reasonable follow-up, after which they are deleted unless you ask us to keep them.
7. Security and personal data breaches
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as the DPDP Act requires.
8. Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. If you are under 18, please do not send us personal data. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected a child’s personal data, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
